My professional career has seen me travel an interesting path. As the son of an esteemed educator in the Minneapolis Public School system, after graduating from Morehouse College with a BA in Political Science, I immediately entered the field of education as a Program Coordinator in the district. While learning how to succeed in assisting young people in the field of education, I also yearned to explore my passion in the sports world also. That led me to an internship with the Minnesota Timberwolves in Basketball/Community Relations. After my growth there, I was pursued by radio station KFAN to work in the broadcast community as a radio announcer. That really intrigued me and fueled me because I saw the need for broadcasters of color in a state that had very few. And unfortunately that is still the case.As I worked harder and harder, I quickly understood the importance of my role and stature, knowing that I am a role model who needs to share my gifts with those in the community. I have done  all of this while still having a close relationship with the field of education.

I joined the V3 Board because I believe in the vision and the potential positive impact on Minnesota with V3 Sports. Anyone should want to be a part of something special and at the same time understand the need for helping be a part of something that not only fills a need in our community but exudes an air of excellence too. As a proud Northside resident,  I understand how V3 Sports can help transform the community and give opportunities that have previously never been presented before. I really believe that it is a vision, a dream that has been put into action and made real. Being a hand in positive things and the face of change always excites me.
